Our felt is made from carbonized wool, treated with a light paraffin solution to provide water resistance, dyed with eco-friendly vegetable dyes, and cut short to prevent pilling on the surface. Our designer felt made from a Merino wool blend meets the human-ecological requirements of the Oeko-Tex® 100 standard and is certified as sustainable, biodegradable, and free of harmful substances. Our felt has been tested and passed the CAN/ULC-S102 test for fire spread and smoke formation and is certified for architectural use in commercial buildings.
